Where has all the time gone, already we are in to February and we have done so much already.
The swimming gala was a great success and as I enjoy taking an active part in the affairs of the Battalion actually to win a bronze medal was a bonus.
The Junior Section 7 a side football was another great success.
I have also enjoyed a long weekend with the 48th BB to Wales, great fun lots of new friends but not a lot of sleep.
I have enjoyed a visit to 12th BB supporting two of their Queen’s men.
We were very fortunate to have a visit from the Brigade Secretary, Steve Dickinson as well as the Director for England Eric Hudson. Both of whom were
very keen to learn all about the work we are doing in Liverpool and what they could do to help us. It was a very productive meeting.
Martin Coates and I attended a training event at Kirkham for the launch of the new company activity programme Discover. We look forward to sharing this
information over the following months.
Last year finished with the collating of all the Company numbers for the City council. This will now happen twice a year. Some groups have to report
monthly so we get off lightly. The council were very pleased with all our hard work.
I am so pleased with the support of the Y.L.T (youth leader training) held at Kirkham with 16 members of the Liverpool Battalion qualifying as new l
eaders. Great news. I did enjoy driving 8 members of the course through the snow.
The next Battalion meeting is very important with a visit from the director for England Mr Eric Hudson coming to talk with us at our next Battalion
Meeting on Wednesday 12th March @ 10th HQ Anfield at 7.45 for 8pm. Please make an extra effort to attend and I look forward to seeing as many leaders
there.
